  • The holder of a award ticket can cancel or change it before departure.

How to Cancel or Change without having to Pay a Fee

Customers who book directly through delta.com/the Fly Delta app are eligible for risk-free cancellation. You can cancel an eligible eticket within 24 hours of booking and get a full refund without any cancellation fees.

24-Hour Risk-Free Cancellation Process

You can cancel your flight by following these steps if you have booked your flight via delta.com/flydelta app.

  1. Log in to create an account. Click on " My Trips" for your trip search.

  2. Choose the booking that you wish to cancel

  3. Follow the steps by clicking on " Cancel flight"

  4. Finaly, you will be issued a complete refund to your original account.

Within 24 hours of purchase, your ticket will be refunded.

How do I cancel a non-refundable ticket?

As we have already discussed, cancellation fees will be charged to the original ticket price if you cancel a nonrefundable ticket. You will receive e-credit to use for another ticket purchase. The Basic Economy ticket cannot be cancelled or changed unless it falls under the COVID-19 travel waivers, or the 2021 Basic Economy Changeability Waiver.

How to cancel non-refundable tickets:

  1. It is important to cancel your ticket prior to departure. After the departure, there will be no value for the ticket.

  2. You will need to Log in then go to All Trips

  3. Select the trip/ticket you wish to cancel.

These tickets are non-cancellable

  • Delta tickets are available for travel within the U.S. and Puerto Rico (Booked after 31/8/2020).

  • Booked after 9/12/2020, Delta tickets are available for travel from North America to fly to other parts of the globe (including codeshare and joint venture partners).

  • Delta tickets are available for travel between the Caribbean, the U.S. and Mexico

Cancellation Fee

Your ticket cancellation fees will start at $200 if you are not covered by the "No Cancellation Fees" policy. The remaining value of your ticket will be given to you in the form e-credit. How do I cancel a refundable ticket?

We know that plans can change and you can request a refund if your ticket is refundable. However, in this instance you must cancel or change your booking before the flight departs.

How to Cancel a Refundable Tickets:

  1. You must first confirm that you cancel or change your booking before you leave.

  2. Next, log in and go to My Trips to search for Your Trip

  3. Next, choose the flight that you wish to cancel

  4. Click here to go to " Modify Flight".
